51st AIO Conference and Annual General Assembly Underway in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, May 26, 2025 (FMC) – The 51st African Insurance Organisation (AIO) Conference and Annual General Assembly officially kicked off today at Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa in the presence of Mr. Temesgen Tiruneh, Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

Held under the theme “Balancing the Books: Africa’s Debt Problem – Why Does Country Debt Impact Insurers?”, the conference is taking place from May 24 to 28, 2025, and marks a significant milestone for the African insurance sector.

The event has brought together delegates from 93 countries, including key stakeholders, industry leaders, and development partners, for high-level discussions on the future of insurance on the continent.
