Ugandan Vice President Jessica Alupo Arrives in Addis Ababa for UNFSS+4

Addis Ababa, July 26, 2025 (FBC) – Uganda’s Vice President, Jessica Rose Epel Alupo, has arrived in Addis Ababa to participate in the Second United Nations Food Systems Summit Stocktake (UNFSS+4) being held in Ethiopia.

Upon her arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, Vice President Alupo was warmly received by Mr. Adem Farah, Head of the Democracy System Building Coordination Center, who holds the rank of Deputy Prime Minister and Vice President of the Prosperity Party (PP) and State Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Berhanu Tsegaye.

Ethiopia is currently welcoming distinguished guests from around the world as it hosts the UNFSS+4 in Addis Ababa from July 27 to 29, 2025.

At the summit, Ethiopia is set to highlight its notable achievements in agriculture, including advancements in summer irrigated wheat, rice production, and green rice initiatives.
