PM Abiy Ahmed holds bilateral discussion with President Salva Kiir of South Sudan

Addis Ababa, September 10, 2025 (FMC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) welcomed at his office today President Salva Kiir Mayardit of South Sudan for bilateral discussions.

In a message shared on his social media pages today, Prime.Minister Abiy disclosed that both leaders explored ways to strengthen cooperation and advance shared priorities between our nations.

It is noteworthy that the South Sudanese leader is in Ethiopia since Monday 8th September for diplomatic visit. He also joined Prime.Minister Abiy Ahmed and other African leaders for the grand inauguration of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) yesterday in Guba, Benishangul Gumuz regional.state.
