Pan-African Tourism Expedition Launches in Abuja, Heads to Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, October 2, 2025 (FMC) — A pan-African tourism initiative connecting Nigeria to Ethiopia by land was launched today in Abuja, marking the start of a continent-spanning journey designed to strengthen regional integration and celebrate Africa’s shared heritage.

The “Tourism Across Africa Project,” organized by Jet Age Nation Builders, will see a delegation travel across seven African countries before arriving in Addis Ababa at the end of October. Organizers said the expedition is both symbolic and practical, showcasing how tourism can serve as a bridge between communities while advancing continental unity.

The initiative is aligned with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, which envisions an integrated and prosperous Africa driven by cultural exchange, peace, and sustainable development, it has been learned.

Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Legesse Geremew, hailed the effort as a “timely and constructive step” toward promoting Africa’s unity through tourism and cultural diplomacy. He conveyed Ethiopia’s support and best wishes to the delegation as it embarks on its month-long journey.

During the expedition, participants are expected to engage with local communities, highlight investment opportunities in Africa’s tourism sector, and showcase the continent’s diverse cultural landscapes.
