Denbi Eco Lodge Lets Visitors Witness Ethiopia’s Extraordinary Blessings – Tourism Minister

Addis Ababa, January 18, 2026 (FMC) — Ethiopia’s Tourism Minister, Selamawit Kassa, said Denbi Eco Lodge offers visitors a unique opportunity to witness the country’s extraordinary natural and cultural blessings.

The lodge is located in the Bench Sheko Zone of the South West Ethiopia People’s Regional State.

In her comments after the official inauguration, Minister Selamawit recalled that the lodge is part of the Dine for Generations initiative and was developed through a public-private partnership with the MIDROC Group.

She highlighted the lodge’s surroundings, including Africa’s extensive coffee plantations, dense forests, and a serene lake, noting that it provides “a truly welcoming destination for visitors.”

She added that the nearby Mizan Aman Airport makes the lodge easily accessible to travelers from across the country.

Minister Selamawit also emphasized that Denbi Eco Lodge offers a remarkable experience for anyone who loves nature and seeks inner peace.

She said the project reflects Ethiopia’s rich cultural, natural, and historic assets while promoting sustainable tourism development and shared local ownership.

It is noteworthy that Denbi Eco Lodge was inaugurated by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed earlier today in the presence of federal and regional senior officials.
