Air Algérie announced the launch of direct flights linking Addis Ababa and the Algerian capital, with two flights per week, starting from April 1st, to enhance air connectivity and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The route’s launch was announced on Monday in Addis Ababa attended by Algerian diplomatic officials, representatives of the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Air Algérie officials.

Officials said the flights are expected to revitalize tourism and trade, strengthen historical ties, and provide more efficient services for passengers and economic partners.

Air Algérie representatives added that the route will consolidate Algeria’s role as a bridge between North and East Africa, improving connectivity across the continent and supporting the airline’s network expansion.
Officials concluded by underlining that the new flights are not only a transportation link but also a step toward deeper collaboration between the two nations, fostering economic growth, cultural exchange, and mutual understanding.
