The time Ethiopia will be even greater than it has ever been is not far off – PM Abiy

Addis Ababa, March 11, 2026 (FMC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said Ethiopia is not defined by its past but is moving forward on a path of rapid development guided by reconciliation, respect, and shared prosperity.

In a message shared on his social media pages following his recent visits to eastern parts of the country, the Prime Minister stated that Ethiopia continues to forgive those who wronged it, honor those who stood by it, and strive to share its progress not only with its own citizens but also with the wider region.

Abiy said his travels across the country continually reaffirm the greatness of Ethiopia and its people. He noted that the hope he sees in the eyes of citizens and the opportunities he encounters during his visits serve as a constant source of strength for his commitment and dedication.

The Prime Minister called on Ethiopians to continue contributing collectively within their respective fields, emphasizing that the country’s progress depends on the efforts and determination of all citizens.

He expressed confidence that the time when Ethiopia reaches even greater heights than ever before is not far away.
