PM Abiy Ahmed and Afreximbank President Discuss Partnership and Africa’s Growth Agenda

Addis Ababa, July 15, 2026 (FMC) — Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on Wednesday held talks with Afreximbank President George Elombi and the bank’s Board of Directors, focusing on partnership, growth and opportunities for Africa’s future.

The Prime Minister received Elombi and the visiting delegation in Addis Ababa, where the two sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation and advancing shared priorities for the continent.

In a message shared on his social media pages after the discussions, PM Abiy said he appreciated the discussions, describing them as centered on partnership, growth and opportunities that will help shape Africa’s future.
