Ethiopia, Finland Set Course for Deeper Partnership Across Bilateral, Regional and Multilateral Arenas

Addis Ababa, September 22, 2026 (FMC) — Ethiopia and Finland have agreed to further strengthen their bilateral relationship and deepen collaboration on shared interests across regional and multilateral arenas.

In a message shared on his social media page, Ethiopian President Taye Atske-Selassie disclosed that he held fruitful discussions with President of Finland Alexander Stubb on a wide range of bilateral, regional and multilateral issues of common interest.

The two leaders agreed to build further on the relationship between Ethiopia and Finland and continue working together on issues of shared interest in regional and multilateral forums.

The discussions were held on the margins of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
