Addis Ababa, August 27, 2025 (FMC) – The 15th Annual Conference of the East African Communication Association (EACA) officially opened today in Addis Ababa, bringing together leading scholars, educators, researchers, trainers, and media practitioners from across Africa and beyond.
The three-day event provides a platform for participants to share insights, foster collaboration, and explore emerging trends in media, communication, and development.
The opening session was attended by high-level officials and distinguished guests, including Minister of Government Communication Services Legesse Tulu, Ethiopian Broadcasting Authority Director General Samson Mekonnen, Addis Ababa University President Samuel Kifle, and African Communication Association President Professor Margaret Jjuuko.
During the conference, delegates are expected to engage in discussions on innovation, professional practice, academic scholarship, and the transformative role of communication in societal development.
