Addis Ababa, September 30, 2025 (FMC) – On 11 October 2025, the final of the International Televised Children’s Song Competition “Our Generation” will take place in Moscow (Live Arena), TV BRICS reported.
Young vocalists from 16 countries will take part, presenting their own compositions in live performance.
The report indicated that TV BRICS is acting as the international media partner of the event.
In 2025, the contest features participants from Russia, China, Brazil, South Africa, Uganda, Kenya, the United States, Madagascar, Mongolia, Egypt, Armenia, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Ethiopia. For international guests, a cultural programme has been prepared, including excursions around the Russian capital and creative master classes.
The general producer of the contest, Stella Khachanyants, noted that the level of creativity of the young participants has grown significantly.
“Over three years we have made significant progress in development. […] The main indicator of success is not only the expansion of the participants’ geography but also the growth in the level of their creativity. Children are becoming more confident in expressing their feelings and ideas, learning to create their own music. This is very inspiring,” she added.
The contest “Our Generation” has been held since 2023 under the motto “Music without Borders”. Its aim is to unlock the creative potential of children and adolescents aged 9 to 16, as well as to strengthen international cultural ties. The project gives young talents the opportunity to demonstrate their creative achievements to a global audience, fostering cultural exchange and strengthening friendly relations between participating countries.
The founder of the contest is the Centre for Creative Development “Academy of Contemporary Art”, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.
