Earlier today, Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi, Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, and Mauritius’ Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dhananjay Ramphul touched down in the Ethiopian capital. Uganda’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Okello Henry Oryem, also arrived to take part in the continental gathering.

Later in the evening, additional ministers joined the ranks of early arrivals, including Abdoulkader Houssein Omar of Djibouti, Morissanda Kouyaté of Guinea, Lejone Mpotjoana of Lesotho, Abdoulaye Sabre Fadoul of Chad, and Nasser Bourita of Morocco. Upon arrival at Bole International Airport, all visiting dignitaries were warmly received by senior Ethiopian government officials.

The steady flow of arrivals highlights the growing anticipation and diplomatic significance of this year’s AU Summit. Leaders from across Africa are expected to engage in high-level discussions on critical issues affecting the continent, including regional peace, economic cooperation, and sustainable development.

As the host of the AU headquarters, Ethiopia is providing world-class facilities and security arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the meetings, underscoring its role as a central hub for continental diplomacy.
