AU Summit Builds Momentum as More Foreign Ministers Reach Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, February 10, 2026 (FMC) — Foreign ministers from Kenya, Algeria and Mauritius have arrived in Addis Ababa to attend the 39th Ordinary Session of the African Union Summit.

Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi, Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, and Mauritius’ Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dhananjay Ramphul, arrived in the Ethiopian capital ahead of the continental gathering.

Uganda’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Okello Henry Oryem, has also arrived to participate in the summit.

The visiting dignitaries were welcomed at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport by senior Ethiopian government officials.
