Ethio Telecom, Partners Roll Out ‘Zooriya’ Digital Business Automation Platform

Addis Ababa, July 13, 2025 (FMC) — In a strategic move to accelerate Ethiopia’s digital economy, Ethio Telecom, Dashen Bank, and ETA Solutions have jointly launched “Zooriya”, an advanced digital business automation platform designed to transform operations in the hospitality, import-export, manufacturing, and retail sectors.

The platform integrates Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Point of Sale (POS), and Cash Register solutions into one cohesive service, aiming to streamline business transactions, improve service delivery, and significantly enhance customer experience and satisfaction.

Described as a major step toward a cashless economy, Zooriya offers fast, secure, transparent, and paperless business processes tailored to Ethiopia’s regulatory and operational environment. The solution also supports all domestic and international payment cards and includes tax-compliant accounting features, fully accredited by the Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Commission.

According to the developers, Zooriya enables merchants to efficiently manage their assets and generate comprehensive payment receipts. The system is cloud-based, scalable, and can be deployed in under a minute, allowing businesses to activate ERP services quickly and expand usage across multiple branches with ease.

This collaborative initiative marks a first-of-its-kind partnership in Ethiopia’s digital business landscape. ETA Solutions contributed to the development and customization of the Zooriya platform, while Ethio Telecom will host it on its robust TeleCloud infrastructure, known for providing reliable digital services to institutions across the country. Ethio Telecom will also spearhead distribution and promotion of the platform through its TeleBirr digital payment ecosystem, which currently serves over 54 million users.

Dashen Bank, a trailblazer in Ethiopia’s digital finance sector, will facilitate access to foreign currency for importing the necessary hardware and provide “Buy Now, Pay Later” financing options to service providers. The bank will also integrate its payment channels with the Zooriya platform, offering flexible payment solutions for end users.

Over the next two years, the three institutions aim to onboard more than 10,000 merchants, helping businesses improve operational efficiency, advance digital transformation, and foster broader financial inclusion in Ethiopia.

It has been learned that the Zooriya service is now live and accessible via [www.zoorya.et](http://www.zoorya.et).
