Addis Ababa, October 8, 2025 (FMC) – Ethiopia and the Republic of Cyprus have signed a series of Memoranda of Understanding aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation and strengthening diplomatic ties between the two nations.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Gedion Timothewos, held a bilateral meeting this evening with his Cypriot counterpart, Constantinos Kombos, during which the two sides exchanged views on areas of mutual interest and explored avenues to enhance collaboration in key sectors.
Following the discussions, the two ministers signed MoUs covering political consultation, education, higher education, and research — signaling a shared commitment to broaden cooperation and promote long-term partnership.
The agreements are expected to serve as a foundation for expanding engagement and building stronger institutional linkages between Ethiopia and Cyprus.
