Addis Ababa, February 14, 2026 (FMC) – Ethiopia and the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) have formalized a partnership to advance sustainable development through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The agreement was signed in Addis Ababa by State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hadera Abera, on behalf of Ethiopia, and by SDSN President Jeffrey D. Sachs on the sidelines of the 39th African Union Summit.
Officials at the signing ceremony highlighted that the MoU aims to strengthen the longstanding collaboration between Ethiopia and SDSN, promoting coordinated efforts in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across multiple sectors.
The partnership is expected to facilitate knowledge exchange, technical cooperation, and joint initiatives that contribute to Ethiopia’s national development priorities while aligning with global sustainable development targets.
