Ethiopian Investment Holdings, US International Finance Partners Ink MOU

Addis Ababa, June, 24, 2025 (FMC)— The Ethiopian Investment Holdings signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with US International Finance Partners in Luanda, Angola today.

The signing took place in the presence of Ethiopian President Taye Atske Selassie on the sidelines of the U.S.-Africa Business Summit in Luanda.

Ethiopia participated in this grand summit and took the opportunity to explore new business opportunities, as the platform aims to advance such initiatives.

The MOU was signed by Brook Taye, the CEO of Ethiopian Investment Holdings, and Garrett Gish, the president and CEO of US International Finance Partners.

At the event, President Taye Atske Selassie praised the two parties for reaching the agreement.

The president expressed confidence that the agreement will further promote Ethiopia’s tourism sector as it aligns with the Ethiopian government’s priority areas and parts of its development programs.

The agreement, with a total capital of over 200 million USD aims to explore potential opportunities and create collaborations for developing and operating a luxury hotel, other related facilities, and branded residences in Ethiopia.

The CEO of Ethiopian Investment Holdings, Brook Taye on the occasion said that Ethiopia has positioned itself as a tourism and conference destination and has hosted several international events.

He said that the country plans to continue this trend and to that end, Ethiopia’s partnership with US international financial partners would surely contribute to further advancing these positive results.

The positive impacts of partnership with US international finance are not only confined to Ethiopia, but also create opportunities throughout the continent, as Ethiopia has the largest airline in Africa, he said.

Garrett Gish, the president and CEO of US International Finance Partners noted that the MoU is in line with the new Trump administration’s goal of fostering robust commercial diplomacy.

He underscored that the partnership would create an opportunity to further advance the Ethiopian hospitality industry and allow the company to contribute to Ethiopian development through long-term investment.
