Addis Ababa, November 23, 2025 (FMC) — Legesse Tulu, Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Djibouti and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), officially presented his credentials to Workneh Gebeyehu, Executive Secretary of IGAD, in Djibouti City today.
During the meeting, the two officials exchanged views on key regional and institutional priorities, with a focus on advancing peace, stability, and economic integration across the Horn of Africa. Ambassador Legesse was formally welcomed to the IGAD Committee of Ambassadors, a strategic policy organ that guides the bloc’s collective agenda.
Ambassador Legesse reaffirmed Ethiopia’s commitment to supporting IGAD’s initiatives, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts to address regional challenges and foster sustainable development.
It is to be recalled that Ambassador Legese also presented his credentials to the President of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh earlier this month.
