Fana Media Corporation, Russia’s RT Renew Cooperation Agreement in News Exchange, Digital Innovation and Professional Development

Addis Ababa, October 29, 2026 (FMC) — Fana Media Corporation (FMC) and Russia’s international media network RT have renewed their cooperation agreement in Moscow, expanding their partnership in news and content exchange, digital media, technology and professional capacity building.

The agreement was signed by RT Deputy Chief Executive Officer Karina Mlikyan and her FMC counterpart, Dawit Mesfin, on the sidelines of the Third Russia–Africa Summit.

The renewed agreement builds on the two organizations’ previous cooperation, including joint work related to BRICS and other events, while opening additional areas for collaboration.

Under the agreement, FMC and RT will exchange news and media content covering development, health-sector activities and national affairs in their respective countries. They will also share experience in technology and digital media operations and work together to strengthen the professional capabilities of media practitioners.

The expanded framework provides opportunities for the two organizations to exchange expertise, broaden content collaboration and build professional knowledge in a rapidly evolving media environment.

Headquartered in Moscow, RT operates an international television news network providing content in 10 languages: English, Arabic, Spanish, French, German, Serbian, Chinese, Hindi, Portuguese and Russian.

The renewed agreement marks a further development in the working relationship between FMC and RT, extending their collaboration across content exchange, digital media practices, technological experience and professional development.
