Addis Ababa, March 7, 2025 (FMC) — Ethiopia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gedion Timothewos, delivered a message from Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit.
The Ethiopian foreign minister also held discussions with the President on bilateral and regional issues of shared interest.
It is worth noting that high-level Ethiopian delegation led by FM Gedion traveled to Juba this morning for working visit.
Gedion also met and held talks with Ramadan Mohammed Abdallah Goc, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of South Sudan.
During their engagement, the ministers have agreed to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries and elevate the ties to a strategic partnership.
The dignitaries have also agreed to work more closely to strengthen economic cooperation and enhance the people-to-people ties between the two countries
