Addis Ababa, December 21, 2025 (FMC) — Fana Media Corporation (FMC) has been honored with the Diamond-Level Organizational Excellence and Leadership Award for its extraordinary performance during the 2024/2025 fiscal year.
The award recognizes FMC’s exemplary achievements in leadership, institutional longevity, milestone accomplishments, reputation, innovation, branding, corporate social responsibility, and digitalization, as well as its overall performance, success, and contribution within the industry.
The recognition was conferred by the Grand African Organizational and Leadership Award Organization earlier today in Addis Ababa, during the 20th Grand Africa Awards ceremony held at the Adwa Victory Memorial.
The Grand Africa Awards program honors institutions, leaders, and professionals that have demonstrated outstanding results and exceptional performance in their respective fields.
Fana Media Corporation received the Diamond-Level distinction among institutions recognized for achieving outstanding results. The award further acknowledges the corporation’s success in building a strong institutional framework through the merger of two institutions during the year, as well as its diligent and efficient fulfillment of the responsibilities expected of the media and the results achieved in the process.
According to the award organizers, FMC has demonstrated the potential to exert influence beyond Ethiopia and across the African continent, a factor cited in its selection for the honor.
More than 1,250 institutions were evaluated under the awards program, with recipients recognized across graded levels, including Diamond, Platinum, Gold, and Standard.
The ceremony was attended by former President of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia and Patron of the Grand African Organizational and Leadership Award Organization, Mulatu Teshome (PhD), along with senior officials from the federal government and the Addis Ababa City Administration, prominent figures, and invited guests.
FMC CEO Mr. Admasu Damtew has received the award from the Patron of the Award from the Grand African Organizational and Leadership Award Organization, Mulatu Teshome.
