Global agribusiness and food industry leaders head to Addis Ababa for major int’l trade fair

Addis Ababa, June 4, 2025 (FMC) — Ethiopia is set to host the 7th edition of the Ethiopia agrofood and plastprintpack International Trade Fair from June 19 to 21, 2025, at the Millennium Hall in Addis Ababa, bringing together leading players from the agriculture, food, packaging, and plastics industries across the globe.

Organized by Germany’s fairtrade Messe in collaboration with Ethiopia’s Prana Events, the three-day event is one of the country’s largest specialized trade exhibitions, and is expected to draw exhibitors from over 10 countries including Germany, Austria, China, India, Italy, Türkiye, and the United Arab Emirates.

More than 120 international and local companies will showcase products and solutions tailored to the Ethiopian market in areas such as agricultural technology, food processing, packaging, ingredients, plastics, and printing. The exhibition aims to connect global manufacturers and suppliers with Ethiopian businesses and institutions, supporting the country’s industrial growth and import substitution agenda.

This year’s edition will also feature the Ethiopia Food Show and the inaugural Ethiopica Coffee Show, held concurrently at the same venue. These side events will highlight Ethiopia’s rich food culture and coffee heritage, offering a dedicated platform for producers, exporters, and international buyers to engage.

The trade fair will be complemented by high-level conferences organized in partnership with key sectoral associations and supported by Ethiopian ministries, creating opportunities for dialogue on policy, innovation, and investment in agro-industrial development.

According to the organizers, the fair has grown significantly in scale and scope since its inception, and continues to play a pivotal role in linking Ethiopia with global technology and expertise in agrofood and industrial sectors.
