Addis Ababa, November 22, 2025 (FMC) — Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye on the margins of the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa, today.
According to the Ethiopian Prime Minister, the discussion covered a broad range of issues, including economic and cultural partnerships, sustainable development, and cooperation on climate action.
“Productive meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye on a range of topics, including economic and cultural partnerships, sustainable development, and cooperation on climate action,” Prime Minister Abiy noted in a social media post.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed is attending the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg. The Prime Minister addressed the Summit and held discussions with leaders of various countries and multilateral organizations.
At the Summit, he underscored the importance of inclusive global growth, fair development finance, and enhanced support for Africa’s economic transformation.
He also highlighted Ethiopia’s reform efforts and called for stronger international partnerships to address shared challenges, including climate resilience and sustainable development.
