Morocco Clinches Record Third CHAN Title in Nairobi

Addis Ababa, August 30, 2025 (FMC) — In a thrilling final at the Moi International Sports Centre in Nairobi on Saturday, Morocco secured their third African Nations Championship (CHAN) title with a 3-2 victory over Madagascar.

The Atlas Lions came from behind to defeat the debutant Malagasy team, who had taken an early lead. Madagascar stunned the crowd in the ninth minute when Félicité Manouhantzua unleashed a powerful long-range strike that beat Moroccan goalkeeper Mehdi Al Harrar.

However, Morocco responded swiftly, with Sabir Bougrine equalizing just seven minutes later to level the score at 1-1.
