Addis Ababa, March 23, 2026 (FMC) — Operations at New York’s LaGuardia Airport were temporarily suspended after an aircraft collided with a ground vehicle shortly after landing, authorities said, according to a report by Associated Press.
The New York Police Department confirmed the incident, noting that details remained limited late Monday.
The New York City Fire Department said emergency crews responded at around 11:38 p.m. following reports of a plane striking a vehicle on the runway.
The Federal Aviation Administration indicated that the airport was closed in the immediate aftermath of the incident.
Images and videos circulating on social media appeared to show damage to the front section of the aircraft. However, officials have not confirmed the extent of the damage, whether there were any injuries, or what may have caused the collision.
The incident remains under investigation, the report added.
