Addis Ababa, August 3, 2026 (FMC) — The FDRE Government Communication Service Minister Enatalem Meles said 200 million seedlings have been planted so far as part of Ethiopia’s one-day Green Legacy tree-planting campaign.
The Minister announced the progress at 9:00 a.m. as millions of Ethiopians from all walks of life continue participating in the nationwide campaign aimed at planting 800 million seedlings in a single day.
She said the ongoing campaign reflects the collective commitment of Ethiopians to advance the country’s green development efforts through coordinated action and shared responsibility.
