Addis Ababa, February 17, 2026 (FMC) — Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held substantive discussions with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of the Republic of Türkiye during the Turkish leader’s official visit to Ethiopia.
According to the Prime Minister, the talks reinforced the enduring friendship and robust cooperation that underpin Ethiopia–Türkiye relations. The two leaders exchanged views on strategic areas of collaboration and reaffirmed their mutual commitment to advancing partnerships that serve the interests of both countries.
Prime Minister Abiy expressed confidence that continued engagement between Ethiopia and Türkiye will further strengthen the ties that unite the two nations.
