Addis Ababa, February 15, 2026 (FMC) — Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held a discussion today with President Salva Kiir Mayardit of South Sudan on the sidelines of the 39th African Union Summit here in Addis Ababa.
The discussions between onthe two leaders focused on regional peace and security issues, the Ethiopian Prime Minister said in a social media post after the meeting.
The 39th African Union Summit is on its second day and is expected to conclude this afternoon.
