Addis Ababa, February 14, 2026 (FMC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held bilateral discussions with leaders from Central and Southern Africa on the sidelines of the 39th African Union Summit in Addis Ababa.
He met with President Félix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of Congo, exploring new areas of cooperation and building on Ethiopia’s existing aviation partnership.
In separate discussions with President Daniel Chapo of Mozambique, the two leaders focused on enhancing collaboration across priority sectors, including urban development, agriculture, and peace and security.
Premier Abiy also engaged in talks with President Joseph Boakai of Liberia, discussing technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Ethiopia’s plans to establish a continental AI university.
