Addis Ababa, November 22, 2025 (FMC) — Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held bilateral discussions with President Alexander Stubb of Finland on the margins of the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg.
According to the Prime Minister, the talks focused on regional issues, multilateral cooperation, and bilateral engagement in key sectors including education, climate action, and investment opportunities in Ethiopia as the country continues advancing its economic opening.
Prime Minister Abiy said the meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to strengthen bilateral ties and expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed is attending the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg, where he has been engaging global leaders on economic development, sustainable growth, and Africa’s place in international trade and investment.
During the Summit, he underscored the importance of inclusive global growth, fair development finance, and enhanced international support for Africa’s economic transformation.
The Prime Minister has also held several bilateral discussions on the sidelines of the Summit with leaders of various countries and heads of multilateral institutions, focusing on deepening partnerships, mobilizing investment, and advancing Ethiopia’s development priorities.
