Addis Ababa, November 19, 2025 (FMC) — PM Abiy today hosted an official welcoming ceremony at the National Palace for Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, reinforcing efforts to expand Ethiopia–Malaysia cooperation.
In a message shared on his social-media platforms, PM Abiy recalled his visit to Malaysia last year, describing the latest engagement as a reflection of strengthening ties. “This exchange of visits is a testament to our deepening partnership,” he said.
PM Abiy noted that the relationship has been further enhanced by the signing of key cooperation documents, including a memorandum of understanding on tourism and health, an air services agreement, and a collaboration framework between the Kuala Lumpur City Council and the Addis Ababa City Administration.
He added that during their bilateral discussions, the two leaders “reaffirmed our shared commitment to further solidify and expand our cooperation.”
