Addis Ababa, February 14, 2026 (FMC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held discussions with Professor Jeffrey Sachs, the renowned American economist and President of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), focusing on sustainable development, economic growth, and advancing Africa’s development priorities.
The meeting built on previous discussions between the two leaders last year and emphasized continued collaboration in support of initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals across the continent.
The meetings were held on the sidelines of the 39th African Union Summit, currently taking place in Addis Ababa with the participation of African heads of state and government.
