Addis Ababa, December 2025 (FMC) — Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed today officially launched the Digital Ethiopia 2030 Strategy.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, the Prime Minister confirmed that Digital Ethiopia 2025 has been completed, having achieved its intended goals to an almost full extent.
In a message shared on his social media platforms, Prime Minister Abiy stated, “As of today, we have officially launched Digital Ethiopia 2030.”
He noted that expanding accessibility, creating equal opportunities for citizens, and strengthening trust between citizens and institutions are among the key foundational pillars of the new strategy.
“To ensure these pillars are realized, significant efforts will be made, particularly in expanding public digital infrastructure,” the Prime Minister underscored. He added that this will build strong digital capacity through a people-centered approach aimed at improving the lives of citizens.
Overall, Prime Minister Abiy said the initiatives being implemented under the Digital Ethiopia framework are aligned with the goals of the Medemer State, enabling the realization of major strategies through streamlined bureaucracy.
