Addis Ababa, February 12, 2026 (FMC) – The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, arrived in Addis Ababa this afternoon to attend the 39th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, scheduled for February 14-15.
Upon arrival at Bole International Airport, President Hassan was warmly received by Ethiopia’s Minister of Labor and Skills, Muferiat Kamil, and State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Berhanu Tsegaye.
Her arrival marks the ongoing entry of African leaders and high-level delegates to Addis Ababa ahead of the summits, highlighting the city’s pivotal role as a hub for continental and diplomatic engagements.
