Addis Ababa, May 26, 2026 (FMC) – President of Ethiopia Taye Atske-Selassie has extended warm greetings to the Muslim community on the occasion of the 1447th Eid al-Adha festival, which will be observed tomorrow, May 27, 2026.
In his message, the President wished Ethiopian Muslims a joyful and peaceful Eid al-Adha, conveying his best wishes for the holiday.
He further expressed hope that the occasion would be marked by peace, unity, love, and mutual understanding among citizens.
Eid al-Adha is one of the most significant festivals in Islam, observed with special prayers, charitable giving, and the sharing of meals with family, friends, and those in need. It commemorates faith, devotion, and sacrifice.
