Addis Ababa, June 6, 2025 (FMC) – The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, has concluded her official working visit to Ethiopia and returned to her country. She was seen off at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport by President Taye Atske-Selassie of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, according to images released by the Office of the President.
During her stay, President Pirc Musar held high-level discussions with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) and President Taye Atske-Selassie, focusing on areas of cooperation aimed at deepening bilateral ties.
In her meeting with President Taye on Thursday at the National Palace, the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to expanding collaboration, particularly in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and space science.
As part of her program, the Slovenian President paid tribute to Ethiopia’s historical legacy by laying a wreath at the Adwa Victory Memorial Museum in Addis Ababa.
She also joined Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abiebie to inaugurate a modern urban educational beekeeping observatory at the Addis Zoo Park—an initiative that promotes sustainable urban development and environmental education.
President Pirc Musar’s visit is expected to contribute significantly to the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Ethiopia and Slovenia, particularly in areas such as trade, investment, science, and innovation.
