Prosperity Party Pledges to Strengthen Initiatives for Public Welfare

Addis Ababa, August 18, 2025 (FMC) — The Prosperity Party (PP) has reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying efforts to ensure public welfare and enhance the benefits delivered to citizens in the upcoming Ethiopian year, 2018 EC.

Speaking at a strategic discussion with party leaders and members, Adem Farah, Vice President of the Prosperity Party and Head of the Coordination Center for Democracy Building, holding the rank of Deputy Prime Minister, emphasized the party’s determination to expand and strengthen initiatives aimed at improving public services and national development.

The discussion centered on reviewing the party’s performance over the 2017 fiscal year and outlining strategic priorities for 2018 EC. A comprehensive report was presented and examined, highlighting achievements across multiple sectors.

Adem Farah noted that the past fiscal year witnessed significant progress benefiting both citizens and the nation. He underscored the pivotal role of peace and security initiatives in creating a stable environment conducive to development projects.

He further highlighted the party’s constructive collaboration with other political entities on critical national matters, fostering inclusive decision-making. Moreover, efforts to create a more enabling environment for civil society organizations were emphasized, allowing these groups to play a more active role in national affairs.

Adem Farah also pointed to encouraging outcomes in key areas, including efforts to reduce the cost of living, expand employment opportunities, and strengthen good governance practices across the country.
