Addis Ababa, April 4, 2026 (FMC) — Representatives from the Tigray region have submitted finalized agenda items to the Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission (ENDC) today.
The submission follows three days of discussions held in Addis Ababa, where the Commission convened the first round of agenda-gathering forums for the region, bringing together a wide range of stakeholders.
Chief Commissioner Mesfin Araya received the document, marking the successful completion of the first phase of the consultations.
The submitted agenda reflects key issues affecting the region, drawn from concerns raised by participants during the discussions.
He noted that the agenda-gathering process in Tigray was conducted in line with similar forums organized across other regions, reflecting the Commission’s consistent approach.
The process emphasized promoting peace and mutual understanding, while maintaining impartiality throughout.
Commissioner Melaku Woldemariam stated that more than 700 participants were involved, describing the discussions as productive and inclusive.
Similarly, Commissioner Yonas Adaye said the broader consultation process will continue, noting that the first round concluded in an atmosphere of mutual respect and attentive listening.
The Chief Commissioner and fellow commissioners expressed appreciation to all participants for their contributions to the successful completion of the forum.
