UAE President Reaffirms Strong Commitment to Strategic Partnership with Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, December 2, 2025 (FMC) – Ethiopia’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Jamal Beker, has presented his credentials to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at a ceremony held at the Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.

The commitment from the UAE leader came during the credential presentation, where he reaffirmed his country’s strong support for Ethiopia and emphasized the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Jemal conveyed greetings and best wishes from President Taye Atske-Selassie and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) to the UAE President, government, and people. He also extended Ethiopia’s congratulations on the UAE’s 54th National Day and expressed hopes for continued peace, prosperity, and progress.

The Ambassador highlighted Ethiopia’s determination to deepen cooperation with the UAE in trade and investment, logistics and infrastructure, technology, and people-to-people ties. He stressed his intention to work closely with UAE authorities to advance bilateral relations.

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reiterated his country’s strong commitment to strategic partnership with Ethiopia.

He also reaffirmed UAE’s continued backing for Ethiopia’s development and the East African nation’s role in promoting regional economic integration.

The ceremony marks the official start of Ambassador Jemal’s tenure in the UAE and underscores both countries’ commitment to elevating historic bilateral relations.
