He praised the Borena people for their resilience and historical role as guardians of Ethiopia’s borders and custodians of the Gada system, noting their enduring wisdom in managing drought and safeguarding traditions of peace, justice, and freedom.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the facility will not only showcase Borena’s cultural heritage and natural assets but also bring the region closer to the national development agenda of building a more connected and inclusive Ethiopia.
Temesgen extended his appreciation to the people of Borena Zone and Yabello City, as well as leaders of the Oromia Regional State, for what he described as a warm and vibrant welcome. He congratulated the local community on what he called a historic milestone for both the region and the country.
