Ethio Telecom Awards E-Vehicles to Lucky Winners

Addis Ababa, May 29, 2025 (FMC) — Ethio telecom, the major state-owned telecom company in Ethiopia, has handed over two modern electric vehicles and four Bajaj three-wheelers to winners of its second-round lottery draw, part of the ongoing “Ethio 130 Mega Promo” and “Ethio 131 Lucky Slot” campaigns.

The winners from Addis Ababa and Adama received their prizes during a ceremony held today, marking the company’s 130th anniversary celebrations, it had been learned.

Since launching the promotions in September 2024, Ethio telecom has awarded over 75.2 million Birr worth of prizes, including four electric vehicles, eight Bajaj, 201 smartphones, 16.8 million Birr in telebirr cash, and more than 1.8 million mobile packages.

A fresh draw was also held today for two additional e-vehicles and five Bajaj. The event, attended by company executives, National Lottery officials, and media, was broadcast live on social media. Winners will receive their prizes at an upcoming ceremony.

The promotion runs through June 21, 2025, with more daily and weekly prizes ahead—including Volkswagen ID.4 and BYD Yuan Plus electric vehicles.
