Ethiopia and Djibouti Pledge to Strengthen Strategic Partnership and Trade Connectivity
Addis Ababa, December 18, 2025 (FMC) – Ethiopia and Djibouti have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening strategic cooperation and enhancing trade and transport connectivity between the two countries.
The pledge followed high-level discussions between the Ethiopian delegation, led by Adem Farah, Vice President of the Prosperity Party and Head of the Democracy Building Center Coordinator Office, and Djibouti’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdoulkader Houssein Omar.
The delegation traveled to Djibouti this week specifically to hold talks aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and economic cooperation.
The discussions focused on improving the efficiency of import and export transportation and further consolidating diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.
