Ethiopia, China explore avenues to boost bilateral trade

Addis Ababa, January 17, 2025 (FMC) – The Minister of Trade and Regional Integration, Kassahun Gofe (PhD) received at his office a Chinese government delegation led by Lu Hao, President of the Development Research Centre of the State Council of China.

The discussions between the two sides centered on various bilateral matters related to trade cooperation between Ethiopia and China.

They acknowledged the progress in the bilateral trade and identified key areas, including maximizing Ethiopia’s export to China, for enhanced collaboration.

According to the Minister, this meeting represents a pivotal step toward significant advancements that will benefit both our economies and strengthen our ties.

The Chinese delegation also visited the quality Village and assured Ethiopia’s commitment to quality assurance in all regard.
