Ethiopia Finance Forum 2025 Kicks Off in Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa, May 15, 2025 (FMC) — The Ethiopian Finance Forum 2025 has officially opened at the Science Museum in Addis Ababa this morning, bringing together policymakers, financial institutions, development partners, private sector actors, and members of the diaspora to discuss the future of Ethiopia’s financial sector.
The opening session was attended by President Taye Atske-Selassie, Governor of the National Bank of Ethiopia Mamo Mihretu, IMF Director for Africa Abebe Aemro Selassie, as well as senior government officials, representatives of partner institutions, and other key stakeholders.
Organized by the National Bank of Ethiopia in collaboration with Ethio Telecom, the two-day forum aims to align stakeholders on Ethiopia’s financial reform agenda, strengthen collaboration, and promote investment opportunities in the sector. The event will continue through May 16, 2025.
