Ethiopia’s Ruling Prosperity Party Council Concludes Regular Session

Addis Ababa, February 21, 2026 (FMC) — The regular council session of Ethiopia’s ruling Prosperity Party, which had been underway for three consecutive days discussing national priorities, has concluded, the party confirmed.

During the session, the council held in-depth deliberations on issues of party-related and national importance and identified priority areas for future action.

The meeting took place in the presence of the party’s president and Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed.
