Harar’s MESOB One-Stop Service Center Enhances Integrated Public Service Delivery: PM Abiy
Addis Ababa, March 10, 2026 (FMC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said the newly launched MESOB One-Stop Service Center in Harar is part of Ethiopia’s broader national initiative aimed at modernizing and integrating public service delivery.
In a message shared on his social media pages today following his visit to the center, the Prime Minister noted that the MESOB platform in Harar currently brings together eight institutions, operating through 24 service counters and delivering 67 different public services to residents in a single location.
According to Abiy, the local implementation reflects the government’s wider effort to improve efficiency, accessibility, and citizen satisfaction in public service delivery by reducing fragmentation among institutions and minimizing the time and cost required for citizens to access services.
The Prime Minister added that the MESOB approach is being expanded across the country as part of the government’s broader commitment to digital transformation and coordinated service delivery.
He noted that integrated service centers are expected to serve as a key mechanism for strengthening public sector performance and improving the overall experience of citizens seeking government services.
