PM Abiy holds talks with Israeli FM Gideon Sa’ar

Addis Ababa, May 5, 2025 (FMC) — Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed received the Foreign Minister of Israel at his office today for bilatral talks.

During the meeting, PM Abiy and FM Sa’ar discussed on Ethio-Israeli relations during the latter’s visit to Ethiopia.

“Our two nations continue to share a long-standing relationship grounded in historical roots and ancient connections. Today, our partnership spans economic, political, diplomatic, and social spheres, among many others,” Premier Abiy noted on his social media page after his discussion with the Israeli Foreign Minister.

Note that Minister of Foreign Minister Gideon Saar of Israel arrived in Addis Ababa for an official working visit today.

During his stay in the Ethiopian capital, the Israeli FM met and held discussions with his Ethiopian counterpart Gedion Timothewos on ways of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
