PM Abiy holds talks with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on multilateral priorities

Addis Ababa, February 14, 2026 (FMC) — Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) held a discussion today with the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

The discussions between Prime Minister Abiy and the UN Chief focused on multilateral priorities, the Ethiopian Premier said in a social media post after the meeting.

“Met with United Nations Secretary General António Guterres this morning on the sidelines of the 39th African Union Summit for a constructive discussion on multilateral priorities,” he noted.
