PM Abiy Points to 2017 Progress as Foundation for 2018 Dev’t Agenda
Addis Ababa, July 14, 2025 (FMC) — Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has affirmed that significant progress was made during the 2017 Ethiopian calendar year, providing a strong foundation for the country’s development agenda in 2018.
In a message shared today on his official social media pages, the Prime Minister stated that the Council of Ministers convened to review the national development plan for 2018 E.C., including a comprehensive assessment of all sectoral plans in preparation for implementation in the coming year.
“The achievements of 2017 have provided us with a strong platform to advance our development agenda in 2018,” the Prime Minister noted.
Alongside the review meeting, the Council also participated in planting Green Legacy seedlings, demonstrating the government’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability.
