President of Somalia arrives in Addis Ababa ahead of Africa Climate Summit 2025

Addis Ababa, September 7, 2025 (FMC) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, has arrived in Addis Ababa this afternoon to attend the 2nd Africa Climate Summit (ACS2).

Upon arrival at Bole international Airport, the President was warmly received by Minster of Revenue, Ms. Aynalem Nigussie and State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Berhanu Tsegaye.

Meanwhile, the Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Philip Isdory Mpango and the Vice President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mossa E.B. Elkony arrived in Addis Ababa to attend the 2nd Africa Climate Summit.

Upon arrival at Bole International Airport, the dignitaries were warmly welcomed by Minister of Justice, Ms. Hanna Araya Selassie and State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Berhanu Tsegaye .
